¡Celebración! is a musical fiesta, the last of the four major concerts presented during the 2017-2018 season by the Longmont Chorale. This is a concert which will take our audience on a choral tour of music from the Spanish-speaking cultures of Central & South America as well as Spain. Our audience will enjoy selections from many different countries and cultures, such as: Bolivia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, Cuba, Argentina, and Peru. The Longmont Chorale and the smaller, auditioned group, the Chorale Singers, will be joined on stage by special guest artists Barrio E’ (www.barrioe.org) and the Coal Creek Middle School Women’s Choir.
Tamil Maldonado Vega, director of Barrio E’, was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. For the Barrio E’ portion of the program, Tamil plans to raise awareness about the current humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. More information about Barrio E’ and their portion of the program will be provided via a separate release.

About the Longmont Chorale:
The Longmont Chorale is one of the longest-running community choirs in the western United States. We are a non- auditioned SATB community choir which was created in the 1930’s. Through our major concerts, smaller performances, special events, and other community activities, we provide and support an open, non-auditioned community choir, enriching the lives of singers and patrons through the study, creation, and performance of beautiful choral music.
