Every story ever told has at least two sides. In Longmont, Tim Waters, a volunteer of Longmont Public Media, has discovered that every story also has a backstory, a story of how things came to be.

Waters started this series as a podcast usually focused on topics discussed during Longmont City Council meetings. He felt that the residents of Longmont would benefit from knowing the stories behind the topics.

When Longmont Observer won the contract with the City of Longmont to provide public access television, Waters seized an opportunity to add a visual component to his series.

His topic choices have varied to other areas that are not only topics at city council meetings. You can find the entire series here.

As the Longmont Leader came into the picture, Waters asked if he could do an episode with the new staff. Mandy Jenkins, publisher and Macie May, editor. The episode will broadcast on Longmont's Comcast Channel 8 and 880 on May 27 at 8:30 p.m. For residents who don't have Comcast, the show can be viewed live at longmontpublicmedia.org/watch

The show can also be viewed at any time on the Longmont Public Media YouTube Channel.
