Longmont High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday after an individual was reported to be carrying a gun outside the school.
There was significant police presence in the area and the female student associated with the incident was located. Longmont police said that the student was not carrying a real firearm.
The lockdown has been lifted and officers were working to reunite students with parents as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Police added that charges associated with the incident are pending review.
