Car accident on Main Street and Highway 66 leaves one dead

On June 1 a car and motorcycle collision left the motorcyclist dead

A man on a Kawasaki motorcycle died on Wednesday after colliding with a pick up truck in  the intersection of Main Street and Colo. 66.

The driver of the Nissan Frontier pickup, — a 36-year-old man from Longmont — suffered minor injuries. However, the motorcycle driver —a 20-year-old from Dacono —  suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. 

Initial reports state that the Nissian was traveling south on Main Street, while the Kawasaki traveled north on Main Street preparing to make a left turn onto Colo. 66. 

This case is currently open for investigation. The Nissian driver is cooperating with police and no charges have been filed at this time.
