On July 3, 2007, Denver Police Department responded to Frederick Douglass Park in Denver on a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Gustavo Arambula-Castaneda, 23-years-old at the time, lying wounded on the grass on the east side of the E. 30th Ave. and Franklin St. intersection, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Cold Case File website.
Arambula-Castaneda’s injuries were inflicted during a drive-by shooting. He was transferred to the hospital where he later died.
Arambula-Castaneda was a 5’3”, 175 pound man with brown eyes and black hair.
