Witnesses in the 1500 block of Main Street said they saw a man being placed into a car. Later the man was dropped off at a local hospital with stab wounds.

On Sunday between 8:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m., witnesses in the 1500 block of Main St. reported hearing sounds of a fight from within a nearby motel room. They then saw a man being placed into a gray sedan by another man, according to Robin Ericson, communications and marketing manager for Longmont Public Safety.

The sedan drove away, witnesses reported seeing a second man in the driver's seat and a female passenger with the victim in the backseat headed northbound on Main Street, Ericson reported.

The first male suspect left the location on foot in an unknown direction, Ericson stated via email.

Later in the day, a local hospital notified the police that the victim had been dropped off with stab wounds and was bleeding heavily in the back of the leg, Ericson stated.

The case is under investigation. Police ask that anyone who was a witness or has additional information regarding those involved should call 303-651-8501 and reference #22-2645.
