Around noon on Monday, a man at a local hospital threatened two people with a needle.

Police arrived at the scene just after a report came in that a 38-year-old man — a patient at the hospital — threatened two members of the hospital's staff with needles. According to Sgt. Matthew Cage of the Longmont Police Department, the man also threatened the hospital staff verbally.

No information was provided as to why the man was at the hospital or why he threatened the hospital staff.

“An arrest was made and the suspect was transported to the Boulder County Jail,” Cage said, “he was charged with Menacing and 2nd Degree Assault.”
