Several residents in the 1300 block of Coffman Street called the Longmont Dispatch Office on Saturday after hearing what they described as gunshots.

A Longmont police officer arrived in the area around 9:30 p.m. and spoke to several witnesses. They described seeing a vehicle — possibly a mini-van — that was either silver or gold. The vehicle did not have a license plate. Witnesses stated that they saw two occupants in the vehicle, according to Robin Ericson, spokesperson for the Longmont Police Department.

The officer located several bullet casings in the street between the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Coffman Street. The officer did not discover any buildings or vehicles impacted by bullets, according to Ericson. No injuries were reported.

Officers are asking for anyone with camera surveillance footage in that area at that date/time to contact Longmont Police at 303-651-8555 and reference 23-3650.
