On Tuesday, the Longmont Police Department received a call from a local retailer about a possible explosive device or hand grenade found inside a donation.
As a precautionary measure, police evacuated the building and the Bomb Squad was called to destroy the device.
The device was determined to be a smoke grenade. The Bomb Squad removed the device from the premises and destroyed it, according to Longmont Public Safety.
