Two individuals driving a tan or beige sedan are wanted for questioning by Longmont Police.

At approximately 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday, a homeowner in the 1200 block of Princeton Court told police that his dog had alerted him to something happening outside of his home, according to Robin Ericson, the communications and marketing manager of Longmont Police Department.

When the man went to look, he saw a tan or beige sedan occupied by two individuals pull up next to his vehicle parked outside of his house, Ericson said.

Both suspects were wearing black hoodies.

The man, who thought his car might have been unlocked and fearing the two men might be trying to steal something, verbally confronted the suspects and then went back inside his house. He watched from inside his home as the driver of the sedan turned their car’s lights off and fled the scene.

Police canvassed the area following the incident but they were unable to locate the car or suspects that matched the homeowner’s descriptions.

Police are still investigating the situation and waiting for video surveillance from a property in the area, Ericson said.

If anyone can identify the individuals involved, they’re asked to please contact Longmont Police at (303)651-8555 and reference case 22-2949.
