Police are still seeking the identity of the suspect.

The Longmont Police Department is still seeking the identity of a woman who stole over $3,000 worth of merchandise from a downtown Longmont business on Monday morning.

The suspect arrived at a retail business in the 2500 block of Main Street at approximately 11:15 a.m. During her visit, she asked a sales associate to look at a new iPhone, concealed the phone in her clothing and moved another object into the place where the phone had been, according to a Longmont police report.

The suspect had several phones concealed in her clothing when she departed from the business. She was described as having curly hair, and she wore black activewear pants with a white stripe, black shoes, a mauve shirt and a coat at the time of the incident.

Surveillance video from the store shows her fleeing the scene in a black, four-door sedan with a second unknown person in the car. The video has been submitted to the Longmont Police who are reviewing it in efforts to identify the woman.

If you have further information regarding the identity of the suspect, please contact Longmont Police at 303-651-8555 and reference police report #22-1465.
