Around noon today, a semi truck crashed with a pedestrian at the intersection of Hover Street and Clover Basin Dr.

According to a news release from the Longmont Police Department, a semi tractor-trailer combination traveling east on Clover Basin Drive went to make a right turn onto south Hover Street.

At the same time a 65-year-old woman left her position from the southwest corner of the intersection. The two collided, running the woman over, according to the news release.

The woman was taken to a metro hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The police are still investigating the details of the incident and are looking for witness testimony. They are asking for witnesses to call 303-651-8555 to talk to an officer on duty. They are particularly interested in any dash camera footage that may have been captured of the event.
