A woman was injured in a shooting and another woman was assaulted Thursday in Longmont, police spokesperson Robin Ericson said.

Officers were called at 2 a.m. to the 600 block of Mount Evans Street after two men broke into an RV on a property and one of them shot the woman in the leg, Ericson said.

The men then broke into a house on the property and assaulted another woman — demanding to know where her son was, according to Ericson. Her son wasn’t home, and nothing was removed from the house by the suspects.

The woman who was shot is in stable condition, Ericson said.

As of Wednesday morning, the suspects remained at large.

The woman who was assaulted was not hospitalized, the police spokesperson said.

Her adult son has not been cooperative with police, according to Ericson.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Desmond at 303-774-4590 and reference report #22-11827.
