Longmont, Colo.—The Longmont Chamber of Commerce will officially open a new clothing boutique, Ivy Rose, in downtown Longmont with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on November 28, at 4:00 p.m. Located at 520 Main Street, Unit A1, Ivy Rose sells women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories. Dyer Real Estate occupied the building prior to Ivy Rose.
Ivy Rose is one of the first women’s clothing retailers to open in downtown Longmont for more than 5 years. Smaller, surrounding towns such as Loveland, Lafayette, and Louisville all have had women’s clothing boutiques for years.
“The initial response from shoppers has confirmed the need for a downtown store,” owner Rosemary Bieker said. “Every day I hear another woman tell me how thrilled she is that we’re here.”
Bieker created Ivy Rose after meeting Ivy Parnasius, founder of Pollux Clothing Company, located in Grand Junction, Colorado. The two share a love of fashion and similar business philosophies. Parnasius helped Bieker open the Longmont store.
Bieker has more than 20 years experience in the fashion industry. Armed with degrees in clothing, textiles and design and retail merchandising, her career positions include clothing store manager, personal shopper, stylist, image consulting coach and clothing design partner. Bieker also teaches fashion to modeling students.
In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony, Ivy Rose will host several private and public events, November 30 through December 3, including a drawing for a $100 gift card.
Ivy Rose will extend its hours for the holiday season starting November 27 through December 24. The store will be open Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
