The 2nd Annual Longmont Economic Development Summit is happening this Wednesday at the Plaza Convention Center (1850 Industrial Circle, Longmont) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This event, which is open to the public for the first time this year, is hosted by the Longmont Economic Development Partnership (LEDP).
According to Jessica Erickson, the LEDP President, the summit will "identify ways to engage a broader spectrum of the community in economic development,".
The Longmont Observer will be live streaming parts of the event on facebook and reposting video of presentations after the event.
What attendees can expect:
- An informative year-in-review presentation by Longmont EDP President, Jessica Erickson
- A panel discussion featuring representatives of each of Longmont’s four targeted industries, providing a review of recent developments, our successes in supporting each sector, and where we have room for growth
- A regional economic forecast by Patty Silverstein of Development Research Partners and resident economist for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation
- Engaging breakout sessions aligned with the Advance Longmont strategy’s priority areas, including education & workforce development, real estate & infrastructure, and business climate.
- High level networking with like-minded business and civic leaders from across the Metro Denver and Northern Colorado regions.
