Only a year and half after their first published article, the Longmont Observer finally celebrated joining the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC).

"It was important to us to join the Chamber when we began, to be a part of Longmont's business community, but our offices at the TinkerMill were too small to host our friends for a ribbon cutting," says Sergio Angeles, President and co-founder of the Longmont Observer.

After moving into their new space at 356 1/2 Main Street, the Observer staff agreed that it was long past time to host the event.

Reagan Sample, LACC Ambassador, presented a plaque to Angeles on behalf of the LACC to commemorate the event.

"On behalf of the Longmont Chamber and its over 750 members, the ambassadors' committee and the board, congratulations and welcome.

"I want to thank you all for you for supporting our newsroom and especially I want to thank Jennifer Ferguson for connecting Scott and I, which made all of this happen," stated Angeles.
