On Tuesday, September 11, all 12 Bad Daddy's Burger Bar Colorado locations are hosting a fundraiser to benefit American Heroes in Action.

“AHIA provides therapeutic outdoor adventures to combat wounded veterans, injured firefighters and injured members of law enforcement,” said CEO Boyd Hoback. “After the brave sacrifices that these heroes have made for our country and our freedom, it’s important to help them in any way we can. We are honored to have the opportunity to raise funds for this life-changing organization.”

Twenty percent of all sales for the day will be donated to the organization.

The Bridge at Longmont Celebrates National Assisted Living Week from September 9-14

September 9-14 is National Assisted Living Week and was established in 1995 by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL).

According to the NCAL website,

"National Assisted Living Week® provides a unique opportunity for residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding communities to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. The annual observance encourages assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinctive aspect of long term care."

The national theme for the week is "Capture the Moment."

The Bridge at Longmont is among those celebrating the week. The Bridge is an assisted living facility located at 2444 Pratt Street, Longmont.
