Planet Fitness is set to open its second location in Longmont early this summer.
A second location for the non-intimidating, judgment-free workout facility will take over the storefront once occupied by Big Lots in Parkway Promenade, located at 700 Ken Pratt Blvd.
Planet Fitness will have two locations serving Longmont, the current facility located at 2255 Main St. in the Horizon Park Center.
The new facility will fill in the 18,000 sq ft space with state of the art cardio and strength equipment, free fitness training and a Black Card Spa which will include HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, and tanning beds/booths for PF Black Card members, Becky Zirlen, director of public relations for Planet Fitness said in an email today.
While the state will likely change guidelines for gyms by early summer Planet Fitness will continue to prioritize cleanliness and the safety of members and employees.
“Member and employee safety is our top priority, and we're committed to keeping our clubs clean and safe as we know fitness is an essential component to staying strong and healthy. As a leader in the fitness industry, we've always had extremely high cleanliness and sanitization standards in place. Our employees conduct regular and thorough cleanings of all equipment, surfaces, and areas of the club and regularly complete deep cleanings,” Zirlen said.
Boulder County is currently operating in Level Yellow on the COVID-19 dial which means gyms are able to operate at 50% capacity or with 50 people excluding staff and coaches.
