Genevieve Dubuc owns the Spavia location at 1242B S. Hover St. Ste. B-300 and is using her business to champion women’s wellness.

“I love to lead teams of women. I find it very rewarding to coach women in their professional life,” Dubuc said.

When Dubuc was searching a business to open she was attracted to Spavia because it would allow her to primarily work with other women and focus on women as its primary clientele.

To show her appreciation for women, Dubuc searched for a local nonprofit group that shared her values and supported women within the community. She discovered A Woman’s Work.

A Woman’s Work is a Longmont nonprofit that supports women within the St. Vrain Valley School District boundaries by providing financial support for immediate needs that cannot be met by other sources, according to the group’s website.

The nonprofit helps women pay for a variety of needs including child care, housing, transportation, medical needs and education. All of the donations made to this nonprofit go to helping the women within the community.

“I like A Woman’s Work because it is very targeted. It’s mission and what they do is very targeted to provide specific assistance … I was looking for a charity that its demographic and the area was really the same as what we service at the spa,” Dubuc said.

Beginning Sunday, Spavia will donate 10% of its boutique sales to A Woman’s Work.

“We wanted to celebrate and honor all the wonderful women and mothers in the area,” Dubuc said.

Spavia is offering the Longmont community an opportunity to join them in honoring women in mothers around Mother’s Day. The spa is offering guests the opportunity to nominate moms to win a “Mom’s Ultimate Luxury Spa Gift Basket.” The basket is filled with over $1,000 of self-care gifts and products, Dubuc said.

“We are grateful for the community in Longmont and the amazing women … the community of women and mothers that we meet every day is wonderful,” Dubuc said.
