cidery (plural cideries)

  1. A brewery where cider is produced.

Cider is made up of at least 50% apple juice.  Cider's particularly popular in the United Kingdom which boasts the worlds highest per capita consumption of cider.  Now, Longmont steps up as a great place to enjoy what the UK has know for a very long time: cider is one of lifes sweet pleasures.

We found out about the Ct. Vrain Cidery, located at 350 Terry, Suite #130 on the East side of the building,  from our friends at the Longmont Brewery Guide who created a great video (below).

From the Longmont Brewery Guide YouTube page:  St. Vrain Cidery is a labor of love borne from the tastebuds of owners Dean and Cindy Landi, and cidermaker, Dan Daugherty. In 2014, Cindy and Dean found themselves ready for a new business adventure and thus began the search for a brilliant cidermaker. Dan’s online blog and reputation in the cider community brought them together, and St. Vrain Cidery was born!

"The St. Vrain Apple was last seen in 1891 by a farmer taking inventory of Colorado fruits. The name St. Vrain runs deep in the city of Longmont’s history, and our cidery’s name honors this regional apple and our city. We are committed to community collaboration and local philanthropy, as well as to providing the best cider destination tap house in Colorado."
