Local business is always an interesting topic to readers and the opening of Costco was no different.
In Feb. 2023, the 150,000-square-foot warehouse store announced that it would open in July 2024. However, the store was able to open more than a year earlier on May 4. The early opening was attributed to the cooperation between the business and the city of Longmont. The fair weather during construction also contributed to the speedy build.
Costco employs roughly 220 people and carries over 4,000 products and is estimated to generate $4.06 million in tax revenue into the Longmont community.
