The Longmont Observer will be hosting 4 debates for the City Council and Mayoral elections during the month of September and the first week of October. The debates are being co-hosted by the Longmont Museum and the Renaissance Room at La Vita Bella Café.

The Longmont Observer announced today that it will be hosting four total debates for this year's city council and mayoral elections. At the same time it began soliciting input from the public on what topics should be covered -- submit your suggested questions or topics here.

City staff presented Longmont City Council with the results from the cost of service models for electric and water utilities on Tuesday, August 6.

Today, August 9, Jeff Moore publicly announced his candidacy for the Longmont At-large City Council Seat.

Biogas Treatment and RNG Fueling Station Project Located on Wastewater Treatment Plant Site Steel is rising on a 23,000-square-foot building for Longmont’s Biogas Treatment and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Fueling Station Project, which will transform WWTP byproducts into renewable fuel for City trash trucks. The building will house fueling pads for the trash trucks and adminstrative space.

Longmont is one of the few cities to have two Sister Cities. In 1991, Chino, Japan became Longmont's first, followed by Ciudad Guzman, Mexico in 1998.
