Happy New Year everyone and welcome to 2019. Hopefully, it will be a great year for us all. The year 2018 was a struggle for me personally, but one I am happy to have gone through.

All the staff at the Longmont Observer would like to wish you a Happy New Year! Look for staff to tell you about their new year goals in upcoming articles. For today, though, we are taking some time off to spend with our friends and family.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS On Monday, 12/31/18, at approximately 0421 hours, police responded to the 2200 block of Pratt Street where a first degree trespass to a residence occurred. This case is ongoing.

City Holiday Schedule Longmont city government observes New Year Day on Tuesday, January 1, as a holiday. All City facilities will be closed. Trash, recycling and composting collection will be one day later than usual following the holiday.

Bumblebee was a fun movie with a much more focused story compared to the others. I think it was better than all the other sequels. I think Charlie was a better human character than anyone else in the series.
