Attorney General Phil Weiser and Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan will host a listening session on the proposed Kroger/Albertsons merger tomorrow (Nov. 1) from noon to 1 p.m.

Held at the Mi Casa Resource Center located at 345 S. Grove St. in Denver, the session will allow Coloradans to express their thoughts regarding a proposed merger between the companies that own King Soopers and Safeway stores.

Attorney General Weiser is leading a multi-state investigation into the proposed Kroger/Albertsons merger to ensure it is lawful, does not undermine competition, and is fair to consumers, workers, farmers, and suppliers. Since January, the attorney general has held 18 listening sessions around the state to gather public comment and consumer opinion on the merger's impacts on Colorado communities.
