The Boulder County District Attorney's Office next week will hold a criminal justice town hall.
"Across the United States, recent events have had a profound impact on the criminal justice system. COVID-19 has caused issues for community health and safety, as well as a significant backlog of cases and trials. Additionally, there have been deeply felt expressions of the anguish and outrage throughout the nation since the murder of (George) Floyd," the DA's office stated in a news release. "Our country has weathered a lot of hardship and pain in the last three months. What do these times of crisis reflect about our justice system and where do we go from here? We must now find a path forward."
The town hall, "The Path Foward for the Criminal Justice System," will be held virtually at 11:30 a.m. June 30. To join the town hall via Microsoft Teams, visit tinyurl.com/y8u4lz69.
There will be time for written questions and answers during the training, but participants also can send questions in advance to [email protected].
