Local governments want to understand the obstacles faced by Boulder County farmers and ranchers to run successful operations. To get an idea on the common constraints to ag business in the county, local ag producers are being asked to complete two surveys.

The first survey should be completed by Nov. 28, according to a Boulder County news release.

“Farming and ranching in Boulder County presents unique challenges and opportunities,” according to a new release. The two surveys will ask ag producers about the constraints they face and then explore “the public sector solutions to those constraints,” the news release states.

Colorado State University Extension, Boulder County Parks & Open Space, City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks, and Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting are sponsoring the survey.

Participation in the survey is voluntary. No personal identifiable information will be required to participate, thus responses are completely anonymous, the news release states.
