Boulder Shelter for the Homeless received a $50,000 grant from the Wells Fargo foundation. The grant was awarded to support the center’s efforts to provide access to safe housing in Boulder and Longmont.
The grant funds have been assigned to support the Zinnia Permanent Supportive Housing project in Longmont.
The Zinnia Permanent Supportive Housing project is a 39,500-square-foot, four-story building located at 2000 Sunset Way. The project will provide “an effective, long-term housing solution for people who are chronically homeless,” according to a news release from Wells Fargo.
The project was also awarded a $635,000 loan from that Longmont Housing Authority that will remain on the books only until the loan is repaid.
“Wells Fargo believes that a quality, affordable place to call home is something every Coloradoan should have. They’re working to increase access to housing for individuals historically shut out of the market across our state,” the news release stated.
