An underground water pipe burst near the Longmont Library today causing water to be shut off to the facility. The lack of running water and bathroom facilities forced the library to shut its doors.
According to a news release from the city of Longmont, the water is expected to be turned back on later this evening, however, the library will remained closed to the public until the water is restored to the building.
