Earlier this month, the Cemex Lyons cement plant, through the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation and the Lyons Community Foundation, provided scholarships to five students from St. Vrain Valley Schools.
This was the third year that Cemex funded a $1,000 Cemex Environmental Stewardship Scholarship through the Lyons Community Foundation, which was awarded to a student planning to study natural resources, engineering, wildlife biology or geology. Cemex provided four scholarships through the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation to students planning to pursue trade or vocational fields. As a local employer committed to building a more capable, inclusive and resilient community, Cemex proudly supports educational opportunities like these scholarships to help strengthen the future workforce.
