City Council Tuesday night will review two proposed zero waste resolutions that are an update to a 2008 version.

The review will come during the council’s 7 p.m. meeting.

Councilors reviewed a zero waste resolution in June but asked that the staff bring back a revised draft that includes stronger action statements to drive the city’s zero waste efforts, according to a city staff report.

One of the new draft resolutions includes stronger action statements, while the other includes the same statements but also has more aggressive waste diversion targets, the staff report states.

Both drafts were prepared with legal review and signature pages should councilors  move forward with either version, the staff report says.
