CITY OF LONGMONT

Everyone who provides childcare to family members, friends or neighbors is invited to the Gathering for Childcare Providers on Saturday, April 6. This is an opportunity to participate in engaging focus groups, share experiences and connect with resources and support networks. The goal is to empower participants to continue providing quality care to the children in their communities.

The gathering will be held on Saturday, April 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Longmont Senior Center (910 Longs Peak Avenue).

“People who provide childcare to their own family members, friends and neighbors provide a tremendous resource in our communities,” said Jennifer Diaz-Leon, community coordinator for Longmont’s Children, Youth and Families division. “The purpose of this event is to connect these vital caregivers with other providers as well as with additional resources to support them in their work.”

The event is free to both unlicensed and licensed childcare providers. Please register to save your seat at here. For more information, contact Jenny Diaz-Leon by email or 303-774-3754.

Longmont has a new Early Childhood Education website! Learn more here.
