Ward I Town Hall
You are invited to join Ward I Council Member Tim Waters at a Town Hall meeting from 9 to 10:30 am on Saturday, February 1, at the Lashley Street Station, 1200 Lashley Street. Ward I is generally east of Main Street, although all residents are welcome to join the conversation.

Winter Walkabout Music Showcase
The Winter Walkabout Music Showcase is back for its second year from 2 to 10 pm on Saturday, February 1. The indoor music festival features 52 performances across 17 venues, all within walking distance and all included in one $25 ticket. Longmont Summer Day Camp and Tween LOCO Camps opens February 1. Operating out of the St. Vrain Memorial Building at 700 Longs Peak Avenue, campers ages 5-13 enjoy swimming, field trips, and weekly themed activities. Shred Your Private
Documents for Free

Take your boxed or bagged documents to be shredded to the Waste Diversion Center at 140 Martin Street between 9 am and 2 pm on Saturday, February 1, to safely and securely recycle your private documents. This is for residential documents only; no business materials will be accepted. Also take identification and a copy of your most recent Longmont utility bill. Volunteer to Teach English
Intercambio is seeking volunteers to teach English to adult immigrants, and there is a particular need for volunteers in Longmont. No teaching experience or Spanish required. The first step to become a volunteer English

Celebrate Chinese New Year
The Asian-Pacific Association of Longmont, in partnership with the Silver Creek Leadership Academy, presents the 10th annual Chinese New Year Celebration from 2 to 5 pm on Saturday, February 8, at Silver Creek High School, 4901 Nelson Road. Usher in the Year of the Rat with a special Lantern Festival, and enjoy cultural performances including the Chinese Lion Dance, taiko drumming, and kung fu presentations; cultural and educational booths; live music;
