Based on Governor Jared Polis’ statement that county health officials may enact more protective standards than those contained in the Stay at Home and Safer at Home orders, and Boulder County’s subsequent extension of the Stay at Home order to May 8, the City of Longmont’s facilities will remain closed pending additional guidance from Boulder County Public Health.
City golf courses reopened on April 23 with restrictions designed to ensure the health, safety, and proper physical distancing of golfers and staff. All other City facility closures will remain in effect for now and will be lifted in accordance with updated requirements from the State and/or County Public Health departments as they are announced. City staff are closely following these updates and are planning for a variety of scenarios to open services when all requirements are met.
Ongoing facility closures include:
- Civic Center
- Development Services Center
- Service Center
- Municipal Court (Video/phone appearances are available - contact the Municipal Court)
- Recreation
Center - Callahan House
- Sandstone Ranch
- Centennial Pool
- St. Vrain Memorial Building
- Senior Center
- Youth Center
- Public Library and book drop (all fines are suspended during the closure)
- Museum
- Longmont Police & Boulder County Sheriff's Office Firing Range and Training Facility
- City-owned playgrounds
- Sports fields and courts
In addition, all scheduled City events and programming are canceled through May 31.
