The City of Longmont says in anticipation of severe weather, shelters will be open next week for people experiencing homeless.

HOPE (Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement) will be offering dinner and overnight shelter on Thursday, Nov. 23 in honor of Thanksgiving Day. This will be held at Messiah Church, 1335 Francis St., the city said in a news release.

Also, due to inclement weather, HOPE will be offering overnight severe weather shelter from Friday, Nov. 24 through Tuesday, Nov. 28. Evening and overnight shelter will be provided:

  • Thursday-Saturday nights at Messiah Church (1335 Francis St.)
  • Sunday-Tuesday nights at Journey Church (2000 Pike Rd.)
