On Tuesday night, the Longmont City Council will review the annexation application for 150 Francis St and one acre of an unincorporated area along Spruce Avenue and Francis Street right-of-way.

The application for the proposed annexation was submitted Oct. 2021 and includes roughly 2.26 acres of residential-mixed neighborhood zoning.

The property is on the east side of Francis Street and south of Spruce Avenue, adjacent to the undeveloped Bohn Farm property. On the property sits several outbuilding and two existing single-family detached dwellings.

The owner has requested the annexation to connect to the city’s sewer service, however, no development has been proposed for the property, according to city council documents. According to the city, the property has been part the Longmont Area/Envision Longmont Comprehensive Plan since its inception in 1970. The plan includes using the property for urban development.

This will be the second reading and public hearing on the annexation ordinance.
