This week St. Vrain Valley’s Innovation Center along with the Colorado Education Iniative hosted a groundbreaking conference designed to accelerate excellence in public education, making it the largest Leadership Institute for Transformative Education, or LiftED, conference in the state.
Leadership teams from 12 different states gathered at the Innovation Center starting Tuesday to explore innovative approaches to education and design systems of excellence, according to SVVSD.
"LIFTED represents a crucial opportunity for education leaders to come together, share ideas, and develop strategies that will shape the future of public education. By focusing on innovation and excellence, we're empowering our students to thrive in a world of infinite possibilities,” said Don Haddad, SVVSD superintendent.
The three day workshop will include keynote speakers, including Haddad and Adam Garry, president of StrategicEDU, hands-on workshops, interactive site visits and more.
“LiftED highlights a school district that has created exemplary conditions for thriving young people and a flourishing community and, through this work, has built trust and support for public education. CEI is thrilled to partner with St. Vrain Valley Schools are bringing together district teams from Colorado and around the country to share practices that advance a future-focused vision for all students,” said Rebecca Holmes, president and chief executive officer of Colorado Education Initiative.
The group will visit SVVSD schools that showcase innovative programs and practices and explore SVVSD’s national model of innovation.
The conference is free to participants and SVVSD because of support from the ZOMA Foundation, the LARRK Foundation, Magma Math, CDW, Transfer, SparkFun and Experimental Robotics Platform.
