COVID cases rise in Boulder County; positivity rate dips

The number of Boulder County residents who have died with COVID-19 has climbed to 313 and the total number of cases is 35,511, according to data posted Monday by Boulder County Public Health.

The number of new cases recorded over the past seven day is at 194.7, Boulder County health states.

The county’s seven-day positivity rate is at 6.6%, a decrease from 7% posted a week ago.

At least 87% of Boulder County residents have received at least one dose of a vaccine as of Dec. 4, according to Boulder County. County residents with full vaccine coverage is 72% or 225,000 of 314,000 people ages five and above, the data states.

Longmont had 42% of new cases in Boulder County beginning the week of Nov. 28 while Boulder has 24%, according to data.
