Boulder County is in the final days of the 30-day stay in Level Blue on the county’s COVID-19 dial. If hospital admissions continue to stay low, the county will enter Level Clear.

Level Clear will last for 90 days as long as hospital rates remain below two hospitalizations per 100,000 residents for seven days over a 14-day period.

If hospitalizations rise, the county may move into more protective levels and implement restrictions accordingly.

Level Clear “does not have any capacity restrictions or mandatory mitigation requirements for businesses or gatherings,” according to the Boulder County Public Health website

“Masks may still be required under state or local order, and if the state continues any orders, those state restrictions will apply to Boulder County,” the website states.

Since mid-January, the county’s hospitalization rate per 100,000 people has remained below one. The latest data reports .42 hospitalizations on May 7.
