Firestone’s Wild Cider Open for the Season Under New Ownership

Wild Cider’s family-friendly cider garden opened for the 2025 season last month under new ownership. The new owners, who are local, don’t plan to reinvent the business — they want to build on its successes.

Tucked away on a serene landscape in Firestone, Wild Cider lets visitors know on its rustic entryway sign that they are about to sip on and experience something “wildly different.” The craft cidery, which produces gluten-free, alcoholic beverages with flavors such as hard apple, agave peach, blueberry hibiscus, pear, spiced apple pie, and more, is under new ownership.

Previously owned by Audrey and Daniel Reagan and founded in 2019, Wild Cider was officially purchased on May 16 by a group of local investors — Jeremiah Harris, Tallis Salamatian, Corrin Salamatian, Jason Landrey, and Marshall Welch. The cidery opened for the season on May 22 under the new ownership.

Wild Cider is both a production facility and a cider garden. The property includes countless apple trees, mountain views, a stage for live music, seating areas, and plenty of nature.

“Dan and Audrey did a great job building this business and we were really excited to just continue what they have already built and continue taking it to the next level,” Salamatian said.

Although Wild Cider specializes in crafting adult beverages, the new ownership team is still focused on creating a family friendly, community-oriented environment at its cider garden.

“Everyone on the team has kids,” Salamatian said. “We really want this to be a meeting place in the community where everyone can get together.”

In addition to various types of ciders, patrons can enjoy fresh pizza out of the on-site, wood-fired oven.

Salamatian, who is a Longmont resident, was looking for a local brick-and-mortar establishment to either start or acquire with his business partners when the opportunity to purchase Wild Cider presented itself.

“We decided to take the plunge,” Salamatian said. “None of us had any real experience in the cider industry.”

Salamatian made clear that the new ownership team is not trying to reinvent the wheel but instead wants to learn from Wild Cider’s already knowledgeable staff and build upon the business’s success.

“We were really excited about an opportunity to get something that was local and could allow us to have a better connection with the community,” Salamatian said.

The cider garden is currently open on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Wild Cider is located at 11455 Co. Road 17 in Firestone.
