Veterans looking to go to college are invited to a Front Range Community College information fair Thursday, July 29 to learn about resources available to support them and their families.

The fair is being held at FRCC’s Larimer Campus - Longs Peak Student Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Larimer Campus is located at 4616 S. Shields Street in Fort Collins.

Organizers say veterans and their families can drop in anytime and get information.

“There’s a lot of help available in our communities for veterans,” said FRCC Veterans Support Advisor Chuck Crews in a FRCC news release. “We’re gathering a lot of those partners together in one place to make an easy one-stop-shop for vets and their families.”

Veterans can get a free lunch and get entered to win a $500 scholarship to FRCC, the news release said. Attendees will have the chance to learn about:

  • Housing
  • Health and wellness
  • Post-secondary education options
  • Job and career information
  • PTSD resources
  • Substance abuse support and resources.

Front Range was recently awarded designation as a Military Friendly School, ranked No. 2 in the country in the large community college category, according to a Front Range news release.
