Plans to fund improvements on the Diagonal Highway between Longmont and Boulder will be discussed Sept. 28 at the final Colo. 119 Membership Meeting of 2021. The event is sponsored by the nonprofit transportation advocacy group Commuting Solutions.
The event is open to anyone including Commuting Solutions members, partners, transportation experts and enthusiasts, according to a Commuting Solutions news release.
The virtual meeting — in which attendees need to register — will allow those listening in to hear from the people who are spearheading the corridor planning and the quest to identify fundings.
RTD Directors for the Longmont area — Lynn Guissinger and Erik Davidson — will be speaking about the proposed northwest rail project. Colorado Department of Transportation engineer Dan Marcucci will talk about Colo. 119 safety and mobility updates.
Stacey Proctor, project manager for Boulder County, will talk about the planned Colo. 119 bikeway and Carly Sieff, transportation manager with consultants Fehr and Peers, will discuss the Colo. 119 First and Final Mile Study, according to the news release.
The virtual meeting will be conducted over Zoom from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
