The second annual SLOPE event takes place on March 11, 2023

Have you hit The Slope in Longmont? The Longmont Downtown Development Authority is partnering with Longmont businesses along Main Street between First and Third avenues for an afternoon on The Slope.

The Slope is quickly becoming the youthful and trendy part of Main Street, said Jackie Lagasee-Evensen who is one of the event coordinators and a real estate agent for Live West Realty.

This area of Longmont has ushered in several new businesses in the last few years including the South Main Station, Urban Fields and Copper Sky Distillery, to name a few.

The vibe in the area is “hip,” Lagasee-Evensen said.

To celebrate the businesses along The Slope, the Longmont Downtown Development Authority is hosting its second annual event on March 11 from 1-4 p.m.

Patrons can visit participating businesses along The Slope and participate in games including plinko, corn hole, hula hoop and more. Some businesses will also feature food tasting such as salsa that is described as “heat level unknown.”

Tokens are awarded for completing the challenges and can be redeemed for SLOPE swag at Bootstrap Brewing by 4 p.m.

Participating businesses include:

Sharky's Paradise Tattoos (233 Main)
