GoFundMe: How to Help Those Affected by the Colorado Wildfires
GoFundMe mobilized its crisis response team and began monitoring the platform for fundraisers created for families and individuals affected by the Marshall and Middle Fork fires in Colorado. GoFundMe launched a centralized hub as a way for donors to identify fundraisers that have been verified by its Trust & Safety team.
The GoFundMe Trust & Safety Team briefed state and local officials in Colorado on the steps it takes to protect donors and recipients, which includes the GoFundMe Guarantee. GoFundMe will continue to stay in contact with local officials in the coming days.

Community Foundation Boulder County's Wildfire Fund
Community Foundation Boulder County, in partnership with Government and nonprofit organizations, is working to marshal financial support on behalf of those most directly affected by the wildfire. To donate online, click here. Disaster Assistance Center Opens Monday, January 3 for Those Impacted by Marshall Fire
In response to the devastating Marshall Fire, Boulder County and a network of community partners opened a Disaster Assistance Center on Monday to help people who lost homes in or were displaced by the fire with a range of services including property loss and filing claims for assistance, financial and food assistance, mental health supports, transportation, and more. The Boulder County Disaster Assistance Center, located at the Boulder County Southeast County Hub at 1755 South Public Road in Lafayette, will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week, and will include specialists from Boulder County Housing and Human Services, Public Health, and Community Services, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mental Health Partners, many other area government and nonprofit organizations, and insurers.
Those impacted by the Marshall Fire are encouraged to visit www.boco.org/MarshallFire and www.boco.org/MarshallFireEspanol to learn about the recovery process and find out about available resources for which they may qualify. Opportunities for making donations or volunteering to help the community recover are also available on these pages. The Boulder County Center Call Center also has information on the Disaster Assistance Center at 303-413-7730. As it is during all area disasters, emergency response information about the Marshall Fire continues to be published on the Boulder Office of Emergency Management site at www.BoulderOEM.com.
