LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF BOULDER COUNTY

Stand Up For Democracy, an event to reflect upon and be inspired by the challenge to protect our democracy from insurrection and promote equity and justice. This event is open to the general public. It will take place Sunday, April 16, 2023 3-5 p.m. at Museum of Boulder, 2205 Broadway St, Boulder.
Keynote speaker Lisa Bianco, former Chief of Staff for Congressman Joe Neguse and Director of Member Services for the US House Select Committee to Investigate the Attack on January 6 on the United States Capitol. Bianco will share her personal experiences and reflections as a Coloradoan who worked on the frontlines of the Select Committee, which researched and laid out evidence to the nation about insurrection in the wake of the 2020 election. The event will also feature local poets Hayden Dansky and Z, the Lafayette Poet Laureate.
In addition to the keynote speaker and poets, this event will include food and beverages; networking; and information about the League’s work locally and at the state and national levels to make democracy work for all people. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online in advance at LWVBC.org or at the event.
