I worked alongside mayoral candidate Tim Waters during my tenure as executive director of Longmont Community Justice Partnership (LCJP), a Longmont-based nonprofit, from 2015-2021. As I navigated challenges that would negatively impact LCJP’s services to the Longmont community, I reached out to Tim for support and guidance.

Tim won my trust through his exceptional ability to hear multiple perspectives and generate solutions that were fair and mutually beneficial. He went beyond simply listening to become a respectful and compassionate thought partner. In the last 2 years, when most communities nationwide faced an unprecedented level of adversity and grappled with difficult questions about justice and equity, Tim chose to shed light on these topics locally. He elevated the voices of individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives by facilitating critical dialogue about our ideas and visions for justice and equity in Longmont. (Recordings of the dialogues are available on Longmont Public Media.)

As a leader, Tim exemplifies honesty, humor, and humility as he shares his own vision and willingness to learn from and with others. Please join me in completing your ballot today and voting Tim Waters for Mayor.
