RTD Bus in Longmont

The development of a First and Main Street transit center in Longmont and a bikeway on the Diagonal Highway will be among the items discussed Sept. 14 at the Commuting Solutions membership meeting in Boulder County.

Tony Chacon, redevelopment and revitalization manager for Longmont,  will update members on the progress of the transit center. City officials say the First and Main site is slated as a nexus for Regional Transportation District buses and a proposed commuter rail station.

The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m., at the Hampton Inn, 6333 Lookout Road. Participants can register at https://eventsframe.com/e/tVCV4lpcY/commuting-solutions-co-119-membership-meeting/

Also addressing issues about the Front Range Passenger Rail District are Boulder County Commissioner Claire Levy and Andy Karsian, interim general manager with the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Admana Murtic, project manager for CDOT, and Ali Imansepahi, project manager for RTD, will offer updates on the Diagonal Highway safety and mobility study and funding. Stacey Proctor, project manager for Boulder County, will discuss the Diagonal Highway bikeway final designs.
