Longmont Economic Development Partnership, or LEDP, has opened up the annual Longmont Workforce Perception survey for 2021.
Participation is open to all businesses and employees in Longmont.
The short survey looks to gauge community thoughts and opinions on public safety, health, access to schools, child care and other issues of economic vitality.
"In recent years, talent has become a fundamental driver of local, regional, and state economic development efforts," said Jessica Erickson, president and CEO of LEDP. "How talent is recruited, retained, developed, and deployed has become a top priority for local economic development organizations like Longmont EDP. By participating in the annual Workforce Perceptions
"The study gives us a pulse on how Longmont-based workers view living and working in Longmont, what we do well and where we still have work to do as a community," Erickson said.
The LEDP performed a similar study last year.
Of the 62 people that participated in the survey last year, the majority felt positively toward Longmont. Eighty percent rated Longmont as a safe place to live, while seventy percent described Longmont as a welcoming and respectful place.
The survey is open until May 31, and LEDP hopes to publish the results by the end of June.
