This week electric vehicle supporters across the country are celebrating the 11th annual National Drive Electric Week. Longmont is joining the party with an Electric Vehicle Fair.
The Longmont EV Fair will take place at the Boulder County Fairgrounds on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The fair will host over 40 electric car owners who will share their cars and experiences. Also making an appearance are local EV dealers Gebhardt BMW, Foundation Hyundai, Valley Nissan, Green Eyed Motors, Boulder Hybrids, Lightning eMotors, Small Planet eBikes and Freedom Folding Electric Bike.
“Electric vehicles have improved enormously over the last five years, these cars can be fun, efficient and surprisingly convenient to drive,” said Ryan Schutz, Executive Director of Sustainable Resilient Longmont. “The Longmont Electric Vehicle Fair is an opportunity to learn how electric vehicle technology is ready for you.”
People interested in learning more about electric cars will have the opportunity to test drive and ride in the cars and ask EV experts questions and listen to discussion panels.
In addition to the car show, patrons can visit food trucks, listen to live music and shop vendors.
