Longmont continues to lead in COVID cases

Longmont continues to lead in the the total number of Boulder County residents who have tested positive or probable for COVID-19, with just over 12, 976 cases, according to data posted Monday afternoon by Boulder County Public Health. .

The city of Boulder had 11,123 cases followed by Lafayette with 9,884 and Louisville at 9,256, according to the data.

The total number of county residents with COVID-19 was 36,135 with 318 deaths to date. The number of new cases per 100,000 people in the last seven days was at 195,3, the data states. The county's seven-day positivity rate is 4.8%

So far, there is one reported case of the Omicron variant in Boulder County, according to data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The other reported  cases are:
