Members of the public will be able to speak in a more informal setting with Longmont City Council on Tuesday.
The first open forum of the year will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, with the sign-up list available starting 6:30 p.m. outside the Council Chambers. Each person wishing to speak will have five minutes to speak on any topic.
Those appearing in person and on the list prior to the start of the meeting will be invited to speak first and called to the podium in the order they have signed up.
Unlike regular council meetings, the mayor and other council members may engage with speakers during the open forum.
Prior to the open forum, the city council will be meeting in a closed-door executive session to discuss security arrangements for the safety of city council and staff.
